Alongside its record breaking views, the Baby Shark single received RIAA Diamond certification after selling 11 million records. The recognition means the track is now one of only 41 diamond singles in history.

A global sensation

Arriving on to our screens in 2016, the song became a global phenomenon thanks to its unbelievably catchy melody and adorable lyrics.

Produced by South Korean entertainment company, Pinkfong, the song went viral in south east Asia, before doing the same in the US and Europe. In the UK charts it reached a peak position of number six, and number 32 in the US.

The one minute and 21 second long song is performed by 10 year old Korean American singer, Hope Segoine. The original writer of the song is still unknown, but the tune has long been a popular nursery rhyme.
