Thanks from the Captain Cook Museum

May I take this opportunity, on behalf of The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, to thank the Whitby Gazette for most successfully running the recent Free Entry Week Campaign.

I would also like to thank over 150 Whitby and district residents who took up the offer and visited the museum between the 10th and the 16th of September.

We have already had a number of most welcome responses to our request for new volunteers at the museum and I like to remind any other potential recruits to get in touch by any means at their disposal; it is never too late to come forward and join our existing magnificent volunteer team.

I would also like to take the opportunity to let you know that this year we will remain open through to the end of the half-term week and will not bringing our season to a close until 5pm on Sunday 4 November.

Also new this year, we will be opening over the winter months to small groups and individuals by prior arrangement, please see our website for details.
