We the “Watershed Jammers” performed a Gig at the Salmon Leap Hotel, Sleights on Friday 9 September in order to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The generosity was astounding, both by the twenty two raffle prizes donated and by the contributions made in the “bucket collection”.
The total sum achieved was £412.05 on the night. However, subsequent to this, two anonymous donations have been made, making a grand total of £544.
There were over a hundred people in the audience and everyone had a great night.
When we had finished playing we discussed the night’s events and we all agreed that the alacrity to assist, the willingness to give and the consideration shown by all was breathtaking.
It really does restore your faith in human nature.
So, we would like to say a huge thank you to all who donated the prizes. Everyone who assisted to make the night go well.
Everyone who attended and were so generous - you made us very welcome.
The Whitby Gazette, for promoting the Gig and last but not least the Salmon Leap for allowing the event to take place, with no charges and contributed enormously.
