May I through the columns of your newspaper thank the following for their support over the last few months in my fund raising for Cancer Research UK.
Co-op, L/P’s dance centre, Spantons, Pandemonium, Crackerjaks, Judiths, Masons, Humble Pie, Creations, Carols Coffee Corner, Jadore, Bay Tree Interiors, Sandgate Sweet Shop, Cooplands, Lucky Duck Shop, Harper Brown, The Stables, Victoria Farm, Agars, Sutcliffes, Breckons, Flower Pot, Boots at Scarborough, Trenchers, Debenhams at Scarborough, Kitchen shop at Scarborough, Time shop at Scarborough, Robertsons fish and chip shop, Andersons, Tourist Information, Jacksons, R Willison, Morrisons at Scarborough, Dance shop at Scarborough, Tesco, Wilf Noble, Junes collectables, Janes cafe, Brian Morley, David Clegg, Barbara, Glennis, Victoria and Georgia.
Plus all the people who gave so generously, money donations, items to sell, etc etc.
The final of my annual fund-raising ended with a fund-raising and sequence dance held at Sleights Village Hall on 2 September.
Nearly 70 people enjoyed the wonderful live music provided by David Clegg on the keyboard, some travelling from Scunthorpe and York. Almost £600 was raised on the night, which was fantastic.
The final amount raised was an amazing £1,223.
People’s generosity has been overwhelming. Thank you all so very, very much, and through this fund-raising, together one day we will beat cancer.
