Seagulls have feelings like everyone else

With regard to the letter in ‘The Write Stuff’ of Whitby Gazette, 19 August, which describes seagulls as ‘verminous and dangerous’; seagulls are lovely creatures.

The reason that seagulls are sometimes aggressive is because they think people will take their eggs from the nest or injure their young.

I think that it is very sad that people make such a fuss about the seagulls just because they are around just like we are.

If you think seagulls are not very nice, just talk to them like I do.

They do have feelings like everybody else.

If you just leave them alone they will be friends with you.

They have personalities like people.
