Runners still needed to hit streets

I am writing on behalf of the Meningitis Trust to encourage all of your readers to refresh their New Year resolutions and commit to getting fit, whilst helping fight meningitis, by running the Bupa Great North Run on Sunday September 18, 2011.

The event offers a fantastic personal fitness challenge and will also be a great day out for runners and supporters. The Bupa Great North Run has earned a reputation of the most iconic half-marathon on the planet.

The Meningitis Trust helps around 20,000 people each year; and gives vital support to those who have been affected by this life-changing disease.

We will look after our runners by providing a personalised running tops, dietary and training advice, fund-raising advice, a goodie bag and a post-race reception including a leg massage.

If you would like more information, or to sign up, please contact our events team on 0845 120 4530 or email
