Pointing out a mistake

I buy the Whitby Gazette every week and an article on page 8 today (13 April) is not correct.

It is about the couple who you state have been married 65 years. Yet you say they were married on 5 April 1954, this only makes them being married 58 years.

Also the worst winter on record I believe was recorded as 1947. I remember it well trying to get to school where we lived at “Gilling West” in North Yorkshire.

I think you maybe meant to print they married on 5 April 1947.

Do I get free Whitby Gazette in future for pointing out the mistake.
