Letter: A cemetery to be very proud of

Through the Whitby Gazette it gives me the greatest of pleasure to write this letter of thanks to the chairman and councillors of Hinderwell Parish Council.

I visited Hinderwell cemetery on December 28 and was astonished at the transformation that has taken place since my last visit.

Neat, clean and tidy, the sight was unbelievable - flowers in vases on graves, easily seen with not a sign of rubbish anywhere.

The sight was fantastic as I beheld the pristine condition the cemetery was in.

You are all to be congratulated on the remarkable change that has taken place.

Now a cemetery to be very proud of.

A very special thank you to the groundsman who has performed a miracle.

He is doing a magnificent job.
