Gross negligence

With regard to the bridge to the extension - why waste £180,000 on a study for the extension bridge off the west pier when that money would buy four or five stainless steel girders.

A reasonable sized mobile crane could be used, which could lift the old bridge off and drop girders on, which could be fabricated on site by local competent firms. Hand rails on decked out. Job finished at considerable savings. Common sense.

Also on the lower extension deck the wire rope handrails are severely corroded and in areas missing, all for the sake of a coat of tar every four or five years.

Doesn’t any of the harbour staff inspect - gross negligence.
