I know the Gazette is now focused on the piers, but another issue that I feel I must bring to your attention is the explosion of litter on the abbey headland.
It is the one of the most important ecclesiastical sites in the country and some days it resembles a tip.
Visitors who come to the town seem to discard their rubbish wherever they feel and have no respect for the town.
On a number of occasions I have informed Scarborough Borough Council of the problem and they have removed the litter.
However they only seem to clean when I complain. I am sick of ringing them up they should be cleaning daily. I have attached a picture to show you how bad it is.
