Once again, I must offer congratulations to everyone involved with the Regatta for their commitment and devotion to this 171 year old cause for staging such a wonderful event.
However, it would appear that you just can’t please all of the people all of the time.
Just after the Red Arrows had finished I heard a mother telling her daughter that they couldn’t watch the fireworks as they were “on far too late this year”.
So could I suggest to the committee that to allow everyone to have an equally enjoyable experience next year that they have a bit of a switch around and put the fireworks on at 3pm and the Red Arrows at 10pm.
