Admiration for church warden

I can see J Quail’s point - (Gazette 1 February) that St Mary’s Church Warden should just accept the request to film a vampire film and use the money to shore up the undercliff.

On the one hand it must be tempting, as the council don’t seem to give a flying fig about Whitby dropping to bits, but I admire the warden for keeping his principles, showing that not everything/one has a price.

If only your council had even a fraction of his integrity.
