Young students take to the stage

The Benson Stage Academy Whitby presented their annual dance awards presentation and mini show night at Whitby Rugby Club.

The pupils pictured here delighted the audience with their mini show, produced and performed using choreography, costumes and ideas they created themselves using their own choice of music.

Principal Julia Trillo said: “ I am extremely proud of all my pupils and congratulate them on the excellent standard of dance and imaginative ideas they have produced tonight.

“The dance routines included ballet, tap, musical theatre and street. In conclusion, £200 was raised for Martin House Children’s Hospice.”

Pupils participating were: Neve Barnard, Gracie Boocock, Chloe Burgess, Amber Clews, Mia Clews, Bethany Corfield, Katie Dobson, Roxanna Dobson, Trinity Dowson, Poppy Draper, Abigail Emmerson, Joshua Emmerson, Levi Gilbert, Ava Gildroy, Lola Gildroy, Maya Gildroy, Mia Hansell, Janaya Jay, Mya Kirk, Amber Newton, Alyyah Parkin, Anya Swales, Bethany Tiplady. Barbara Benson-Smith MBE presented the pupils’ awards and trophies.
