Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to Whitby Abbey after a woman suffered a heart attack.

The helicopter was deployed on Friday morning to help the woman, in her 40s.

A spokesperson for Yorkshire Air Ambulance said: "At 10.51am on Friday we responded to a woman in her 40s who suffered a cardiac arrest.

"Our Critical Care Team travelled with the patient by road ambulance to hospital."
