Windmill Girls praise supporters after generous donations
The Windmill Girls, a group of carol singers that perform to raise money for Cancer Research, said they were delighted with the generous response of the people in the area.
In a packed schedule, which included 33 events, the girls entertained in pubs, nursing homes, village halls, supermarkets, restaurants, the hospital, the library and churches throughout the area, and also for the first time in Scarborough, where they performed as part of Rotunda Nights at the museum.
A spokeswoman said: “We are thrilled to find that we have raised £2,737 this year. We would like to thank everyone who gave so generously.”
