White Lily Ball organisers handed over the biggest cheques yet to St Catherine’s Hospice, St Butterwick’s Hospice and Zoe’s Place.

A total of £6.131,87 was split between the trio thanks to money raised at this year’s ball, a prohibition night, the efforts of Great North Runners and other money-spinning activities.

Massive thanks to everyone who supports us - and to my Emma

Lucy Mothersdale, one of the main organisers of the ball, said: “Next year’s ball is booked again, for June 1 at the fabulous new pavilion venue.

“Anybody wanting to prebook a table please get in touch with me - we are almost pre-booked up already.

“Massive thanks to everyone who supports us and to my Emma [Ward] - she’s been the one doing the majority of the legwork while I’ve had Lily-Rose and she has worked wonders.

“The staff at the pavilion are the most friendly people and made this year’s ball.”
