Caedmon College Whitby ‘Proven Extra Potential’ students were challenged and encouraged to aim high during a one-day conference focusing on developing leadership skills.

The conference allowed them to apply for Russell Group universities and explore careers in medicine, science, engineering, finance, teaching and information technology.

The event took place at Sneaton Castle and students proved to be excellent delegates. The opening speaker, Stuart Myers, encouraged them to aim high and never to give up on their dreams, whatever obstacles they faced.

Following this, the students took part in workshops to further their knowledge of a career path in the subjects listed above.

Each session was led by a top industry professional who had great insight in their chosen career.

The evening session was open to parents and many joined in.

The college received very positive feedback from parents and students and would like to thank all involved.
