Whitby coffee morning to help African hospital

A COFFEE morning to help raise money for a hospital in Africa is being held in Whitby.

Margaret Raw of Westlands Avenue is organising the event which will have teas, coffee, scones and a raffle to boost the coiffeurs being raised by her daughter-in-law Jackie Raw who is doing a 280 mile bike ride through central Africa.

Jackie, a podiatrist at Whitby Hospital, her friend, community midwife Jane Miller are doing the ride to fund the David Gordon Memorial Hospital in Malawi.

The coffee morning is on Friday 11 March at the Conservative Club on Upgang Lane between 10am and noon.
