Lifeboat open day

WHITBY’S RNLI crew will be opening their station and boats to the public to coincide with the blessing of the boats ceremony.

On Sunday 10 July there will be free access to all the lifeboat crew’s facilities and visitors will also be able to wander around the lifeboat itself.

Coxwain Mike Russell said: “We’re going to open the station and the boats to the public so visitors can basically just have a look around and see what goes on at the station.

“It’s free entry so we’re inviting everyone to come down for a wander around the station, and it’s also the ideal place to see the blessing of the boats ceremony.”
