FANS of the Bram Stoker film festival and Whitby Goth Weekend will be able to benefit from an increased rail service over the next two weeks.
Northern Rail is running a late night special on the half-term Friday evenings and will run twice on the Sundays.
Richard Allan, area director for Northern Rail, said: “For those whop enjoy a day or weekend in the picturesque Esk Valley or vibrant Whitby, the extra trains will be a welcome addition. The Sunday services in particular will offer more flexibility for family days out during the half term holidays.”
On Friday 26 October and 2 November a train will depart Middlesbrough at 8.44pm and arrive in Whitby at 10.11pm. Another will depart Whitby at 10.25pm and arrive back in Middlesbrough at 11.51pm.
On Sunday 28 October and 4 November trains will depart Middlesbrough at 11.07am and 2.17pm, arriving in Whitby at 12.37pm and 3.48pm. Trains will depart Whitby at 12.44pm and 3.55pm, arriving back in Middlesbrough at 2.12pm and 5.22pm.
