The occupants of a vehicle that was taking part in the Flying Scotsman rally have been taken to hospital after a head on crash on the moors this afternoon (Friday)
They were between Egton and Rosedale when the vintage MG vehicle collided with a Honda Civic coming in the opposite direction.
The driver and his passenger have both been taken to James Cook hospital - one by land ambulance and the other by the Air Ambulance which was drafted in by the ambulance crew who attended.
A police spokesperson said they were both suffering from shock and had cuts to the head. The driver of the Honda was checked over by paramedics but allowed home.
The call was handled by the police at 1.18pm and the air ambulance landed at 2.07pm and took off around 40 minutes later.
