A major road has been shut due to snow falling across North Yorkshire this morning.

The A169 from Pickering to Whitby has been closed by police due to vehicles getting stuck in icy conditions.
Motorists have been told not to attempt the route.
North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group tweeted: "Numerous reports around the county of snow & poor road conditions - don’t travel unless you have to and reconsider your route
"A169 Pickering to Whitby currently being closed due to vehicles getting stuck - do not attempt this route."
On Tuesday a Met Office ice weather warning was issued due to snowfall over the weekend.
