Tough test to ‘Bay for Olympian

an Olympic rowing gold medallist arrived in Robin Hood’s Bay on Monday after competing in a gruelling four-day race.

James Cracknell crossed the finish line in the village at the end of the adidas TERREX Coast to Coast race, which saw more than 100 competitors race over 200 miles.

He was part of the mixed team adidas Terrex team which finished second in their category and fourth overall.

Competitors found themselves mountain biking, kayaking, open water swimming, running and navigating from St Bees to the village.
