A Cubs group in Sleights are undertaking more than their usual quota of good deedsthis year.
The pack of about 20 Cubs are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and have decided to complete 100 acts of kindness to mark the occasion,
They started by completing the Sport Relief Mile at Caedmon fields last month, pictured above, and last Saturday took part in a beach clean at Sandsend.
They will be thinking of other events to add to their tally of good deeds such as car washing, helping at the local church and helping old folk do up their gardens.
A party is planned for the end of the year for cubs now and from the past.
Leader Janine Pemberton said: “We would like to get 100 Cubs to the party and each Cub to shake one another’s hand –100 Cub handshakes.”
