Scarborough Police have asked motorists to avoid the A171 Cloughton Bank after an accident caused by treacherous weather conditions
The alert was issued on Scarborough Police’s Twitter page at 3.28pm
It read: “RTC Scalby Road, A171 Cloughton Bank area.
"Due to treacherous weather conditions please avoid this area if possible.
"Traffic is currently gridlocked due to a collision.”
