A fundraising drive by personnel at RAF Fylingdales has generated £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Their efforts were in aid of Anne Lawrence, wife of Andy Lawrence who works on the base, who is currently battling breast cancer.

Station staff raised funds at events including a sponsored walk, a golf day, a car wash and a breakfast morning.

Station Commander Dave Keighley said: “RAF Fylingdales is very much a part of the local community and we are delighted to be able to give something back to this community.”
