The junior pupils at Fyling Hall School are delighted with the resultsof their ‘grow-your-own’ project, which has been a long-running organic Science experiment for years four and five.
The children planted pumpkin seeds in the summer and, with the help of the school gardeners Mr Gardner and Mr Stephenson, raised their seedlings to maturity.

The pumpkin project proved a winner!
Some serious digging was required to prepare the ground and a liberal application of horse manure from the school’s resident ponies.
Some magnificent pumpkins have been produced – watch out for some spooky-looking Halloween lanterns, coming soon to the woods around Fyling Hall.
