WHITBY will honour the armed forces in a special day of recognition taking place tomorrow.
The town council is hosting its second Armed Forces Day after the success of last year’s event.
Things kick off at 10am in Pannett Park with drums, drills and displays.
At 11am there is a children’s military past and present themed fancy dress competition and an inspection of the air and army cadets at 1.15pm.
A moving remembrance service will take place at 1.40pm and will be followed by a Spitfire flypast at 2pm (subject to weather).
In Pannett Park throughout the day there will be stalls, games, family fun and a barbecue.
