Coulson storms to Esk Valley by-election victory

CONSERVATIVE’S Guy Coulson won 68% of votes in last night’s by-election to fill the vacant Esk Valley seat on Scarborough Borough Council.

Coulson got 606 votes - way ahead of nearest challenger Mike Ward, Independent - and twice as many as all the other candidates put together.

The turnout for the by-election was 25.34%.
