Departing from Pickering and Grosmont Stations, the Santa Express brings Christmas to life and gives children the chance to meet Santa on board the train. They will be able to tell him what they would like to open on Christmas morning.

Woodend, The Crescent, Scarborough

Santa will welcome young visitors for a two-hour festive experience. He will read a seasonal story, and each child will receive a traditional Victorian-style toy and a chocolate gift.

Parents will have the opportunity to take their children’s photo before families take part in a craft workshop create their own Victorian Christmas card.

Santa’s Magical Grotto

Sledmere House, near Bridlington

Located in the traditional Home Farm buildings.

You can book your visit online to suit you and bookings can be made up to an hour before each session starts.

You will get to explore the Magical Grotto, enjoy festive fun and games with the elves, visit Santa to tell him what’s on your wish list and visit the Elves VIP Toy Store to choose your gift from Santa.

Grotto tickets also gives you free access into the garounds and gardens, the rare breeds farm park, adventure play area and a festive ride on a tractor and trailer to the park to see the herd of red deer.

Drop-in Santa Grotto from now until Sunday December 22

Book a timed slot when you arrive at the ticket office, enjoy some elf entertainment and a festive treat from the Courtyard Cafe.

Make sure you have your Christmas wishes and cameras at the ready.

All children can choose a small gift from Santa’s workshop store at the grotto as they leave.

Tickets cost £8 per child (additional to usual admission for non-members and children over four)
