Warning as strong winds could see waves of up to 5m hit Yorkshire coast

People are being urged to stay clear of harbour walls amidst high wave warnings.

Staithes and Runswick RNLI says there are winds from the north forecast from today until Monday, with wave heights of up to five metres predicted for Saturday afternoon.

They are asking people to stay clear of harbour walls and piers.
