Saint Catherine’s moving ‘miss you’ message as it marks Volunteers’ Week
This is an annual event and a chance for organisations to say thank you for the contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.
At Saint Catherine’s, there are around 550 volunteers who help with roles across the whole organisation – including in its shops, gardens, in-patient unit, fundraising offices, kitchens and more.

Hide AdDuring the COVID-19 pandemic, the charity’s volunteers have been staying safe at home, in line with Government guidance and with their health and wellbeing the number one priority.
So with this situation in mind, this year’s Volunteers’ Week looks very different.
However, Saint Catherine’s, which offers services across Scarborough, the East Riding, Whitby, Ryedale, Filey and Hunmanby, still wanted to mark the occasion by highlighting the importance of volunteers and the amazing difference they make.
By giving their time freely, their contribution to the organisation is worth around £1 million a year – but to the charity they are priceless.

“We miss you all and we are looking forward to seeing you again when it’s safe to do so.”
