A Year 5 pupil from West Cliff School was in the pink after raising funds for two charities.

Robbie Raisbeck embarked on his fundraising campaign during the Covid-19 lockdown and decided the best way to bring in much-needed cash was to dye his hair pink.

The Covid-19 Urgent Appeal and Cancer Research UK were selected as the chosen causes.

After two weeks of hard campaigning he managed to raise sponsorship of £400 which was divided equally between the charities.

His mum Sarah Walker said: “I dyed his hair bright pink and the next day he went into school to show his class.

“Well done Robbie for doing something productive during a difficult period.”
