Organisers of the ball, which has traditionally been a summer event, decided to book it later in the year as they felt it was too soon to hold it in June.

It will take place at Raithwaite Sandsend with a Christmas theme.

The event is still in the very early stages of planning but will include the usual raffle and auction to raise much-needed funds for Saint Catherine’s, Butterwick Hospice and Zoe’s Place.

Last year’s was cancelled due to coronavirus.
