A Whitby woman is taking on the Great North Run for the first time on Sunday to raise funds for three local hospices.

Patsy Maynard (28), of Runswick Avenue, is taking on the half marathon for the first time, in support of Zoe’s Place baby hospice, Butterwick Hospice and St Catherine’s Hospice, all supported by the White Lily Ball fund-raising campaign, which was launched by her sister Lucy Bowes.

Patsy is running in memory of her parents David and Janet Mothersdale, who both lost their lives to cancer.

If you would like to sponsor Patsy, you can call her on 07841 407534 or pledge your support via the White Lily Ball page on Facebook.
