Donald’s men needed to bounce back after defeat to Richmondshire saw them slip from top spot to third last weekend.

The Whitby skipper won the toss and stuck Norton into bat first, Steve Allen (4-30), Corey Hart (3-61) and Joseph Husband (2-22), all impressing, while Donald grabbed a wicket himself as Norton were all out for 176.

Donald then hit 16 fours and a six in his match-winning 94 not out, with support from Fin Morris (29) and Theo Clarke (28) as Whitby cruised to victory and moved second.
