Motorcyclist seriously injured after losing control of his Kawasaki in North Yorkshire crash

A motorcyclist has suffered life-changing injuries in a crash in North Yorkshire.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on the A682 at Nappa, between Gisburn and Hellifield, near Skipton.

Officers are especially keen to speak to the pillion passenger of a motorcycle who stopped and assisted with lifesaving first aid.

The rider, who is in his 30s and from the Rochdale area, was airlifted to hospital after losing control of the Kawasaki motorcycle. He sustained very serious life-changing injuries in the collision.

It happened around 3.05pm on Sunday and the route was closed for several hours so the incident could be dealt with and investigated.

We're appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the motorcycle being ridden with another bike prior to the incident.
