Magistrates' Court: who has appeared for sentencing

The following were sentenced recently by Scarborough magistrates (addresses Scarborough unless stated):

Paul Brian Wood, 35, of Gouldings Close, Eastfield: community order including six-week curfew for criminal damage and breaching a conditional discharge.

James Alan Land, 46, of Sands Lane, Hunmanby: fined £100 plus £20 costs for speeding.

Ryan David Morrison, 19, of Smiddy Hill, Pickering: community order including four-week curfew and not to enter all licensed premises in Ryedale for nine months, plus £50 compensation, for two charges of assault and resisting a police officer.

Clive Alan Pattison, 47, of Nelson Street: discharged conditionally for two years, plus £100 costs, for producing cannabis and possessing cocaine.

John Graham Shepherd, 55, of Wykeham: fined £100 plus £20 costs for speeding.

Gary Swallow, 55, of Longwestgate: community order including four-week curfew, plus £145 costs, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

Vincent Walsham, 35, of Westwood: discharged conditionally for one year plus £18 compensation for thefts from the Co-op.

Allister Adrian Paul Frankland, 55, of no fixed abode: jailed for 20 weeks, plus £80 costs, for theft of wine from Sainsbury’s, failing to surrender to custody, damaging a window and door at Westborough Methodist Church, and breaching a community order imposed for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and damaging a car.

Samuel Lewis Dolan, 22, of Tennyson Avenue: community order, including six-week curfew, for fraudulently using a Nectar card and theft of a Nectar card.

Rakhee Kambo, 34, of Kealia Court, Wooler Street: variation of community order, with addition of 10 hours’ unpaid work over 12 months, for failing to comply with community order.

Gary Pickersgill, 50, of Gouldings Close, Eastfield: variation of community requirement of a suspended jail sentence, which was imposed for carrying an imitation handgun in West Street, with addition of 20 hours’ unpaid work over 12 months, plus £40 costs, for failing to comply with the community require-

ment.

Andrew David Sturdy, 31, of HM Prison, Hull: absolute discharge and banned from driving for 12 months for driving on Foreshore Road while unfit through drugs.

Jason Ireland, 27, of Nansen Street: community order, including rehabilitation activity requirement, restraining order made, fined £200 plus £200 compensation and £60 costs.

Geoffrey Nurse, 66, of Applegrove Lodges, Burniston: community order, including rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £100 plus £210 and banned from driving for four years for drink-driving.
