Whitby Town striker Mikey Roberts was elated to score the decisive goals that saw Whitby Town lift the North Riding Senior Cup.
Roberts netted a brace after being introduced as a second-half substitute to ensure Whitby’s first success in the competition in 12 years.
And the forward couldn’t have been happier with his impact.
“It was a great feeling,” Roberts told the Whitby Gazette.
“We needed a lift after half-time and I’m glad that I could provide it and turn the game around.
“It’s been a bit of a frustrating season for me, in terms of goals, but Chris said needed to boost our levels and showed faith in me to help do that.”
