STAITHES and Runswick RNLI lifeboat was launched on Thursday 21 April to rescue a 14 foot angling vessel which had broken down off Skinningrove wyke.
The volunteer crew were paged at 9am after the angling vessel Black Bess with three people onboard had radioed Humber Coastguard saying they had broken down.
Within minutes the lifeboat was launched and was on the scene in five minutes.
The Black Bess was then taken under tow by the lifeboat and they made their way back to Skinningrove where the boat and casualties were landed safely.
The lifeboat was re-housed and ready for service by 10.35am.
