Letter: Too much coverage about Bowie

editorial image

I have just watched BBC News allot 22 minutes to the death of David Bowie.

Then two minutes on the 40,000 starving wretches in Syria.

This along with the enormous chunk given by Channel 4 to the Bowie death.

It has been comparable to the drenching many communities have suffered in recent weeks.

After the 10pm news we were told to tune in to BBC2 for a further dollop.

Where on earth are the broadcaster’s priorities where one man dies and gets a day of programmes and 40,000 are in Belsen conditions and get two minutes?

I hasten to say I found Bowie’s music enjoyable but it had no overall effect on my 82 year old like.

I’m off to bed!
