Laura Stone is keeping it local as she takes on the country for the Miss England crown in Torquay this weekend.
The Miss Scarborough and District 2013 winner, from Whitby, takes on 59 other regional contestants in the prestigious competition which reaches its climax on Sunday. Laura will wear a dress made from Whitby seashells as part of the eco round, and she will donate a Jet necklace, made by W Hamond, to be auctioned for charity. She said: “I’m nervous but looking forward to representing the area and I’ll certainly try to bring the crown back.”
