FIVE women who are taking to the skies to make parachute jumps for a number of charities are seeking sponsors.
But the intrepid quintet admits to being nervous although they are determined to go ahead with their venture.
Spokeswoman Sam Glaysher said: “None of us has done it before and we’re all very nervous.
“We’ll be doing the jump in tandem and we’re hoping for very attractive men to do it with.
“We’re also hoping for a sunny day with no wind.”
Sam is doing the jump to raise funds for Fylingdales’ pre-school group, Amanda Middlemass is raising money for breast cancer research, Jane Straw for North East Air Ambulance, Helen McCormack for Whitby and District InterActive and Sophie Tomkins for SASH, Sustainable Aid Supporting Haiti.
Sam chairs Fylingdales pre-school group, Helen has worked with Whitby InterActive for seven years and said the group is very short of funds while Sophie has a number of friends who are working in Haiti.
The women are doing the jump on Saturday 29 January from Brigg in Lincolnshire.
Sam said: “We’re really looking forward to celebrating afterwards.”
Anyone who would like to sponsor the women should contact Sam on 07880 732115.
