Whitby hospice supporters hit the bullseye for Saint Catherine’s with a round-the-clock darts and pool marathon.
The event last month at the cricket club raised £820 after players battled on night and day to help the hospice.
Garry Summerson has been organising the 12-hour marathon for the last five years after his mum, Anne, died of cancer. But this year he decided to make it tougher still by doubling the length of time they were playing.
He said: “It was a really good day. We’d like to say thank you to everyone who supported us, and for all the raffle prizes we were given. We’re already planning to do it for 24 hours again next year.” A donation was also made to the Cricket Club.
