The team at Raithwaite Estate has nominated Saint Catherine’s Hospice as its chosen charity of the year and will be holding a number of events from now until May 2019, to achieve a fundraising target of £7,000 on behalf of this much loved local charity.

Helen Blower, Estate Manager, Raithwaite Estate, said: “All of our employees at Raithwaite were involved in the decision to support Saint Catherine’s Hospice because it does amazing work supporting adults with terminal illnesses and their friends and families, and we are very proud to be fundraising for them as our chosen charity for the year.”

There are a number of events planned throughout the year, including a team sky-dive and for those who prefer keeping their feet on the ground, there will be a swishing event. The Raithwaite team intend to plan a calendar of events that will allow guests, suppliers and the local community to get involved too.

Debbie Kay Saint Catherine’s Whitby area community Fundraiser said “We are delighted that the team at Raithwaite Estate have chosen to support Saint Catherine’s as their local charity of the year.

“Saint Catherine’s provides care and support in the community and in our Hospice. All our 16 services are free of charge and we rely on and are very thankful for the tireless work of our supporters and donors to help us raise the £5.5m needed to deliver our specialist care.”
