Eskdale School was honoured to welcome a Holocaust survivor who visited Whitby this week to talk to students.
Marc Shatzberger gave a haunting testimony of his experiences and held a question and answer session with 86 Year Nine pupils.
His visit was arranged as part of the Holocaust Educational Trust’s year-round outreach programme.
Katy Johnson, RE and PHSE teacher, said: “It was a privilege to welcome Marc to our school.
“We hope that by hearing Marc’s testimony it will encourage our students to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make a positive difference in their own lives.”
