Mise Coakley, who has slimmed from a 24 dress size to an eight.

Mise Coakley tipped the scales at 18 stone 7lbs after a series of illnesses left her unable to follow the active lifestyle she once led.

Mise said: “My weight had sky rocketed after I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue/ME after recovering from Meningitis, Measles and Glandular Fever in 2010.

“I’d gone from an active full on life to a sedentary one. I spent about 18 months asleep and eating what I could to keep my energy up.”

She knew drastic action needed to be taken after attending her cousin’s wedding in the USA in 2016 only to feel uncomfortable while there and even worse when the holiday pictures came back.

The holiday was a turning point for Mise who was determined to find a way to slim down and she chose to join her local Slimming World group in Whitby.

“I thought I was destined to struggle with my weight for the rest of my life, but when I came to Slimming World it was different. I never felt like I was on a diet,” she said.

“The eating plan encourages you to eat lots of tasty, filling foods like pasta, rice, potatoes and lean meat and fish. You are never hungry and no foods are banned so there’s no deprivation.”

Having dropped from a size 24 to an eight, Mise is taking over a local group to share her success. Call her on 07387 745678 for more details.
