When Frankie Hyde was told she had to raise a few hundred pounds for charity as part of her bid to become Miss Scarborough - she decided to go all out instead.
So the 21 year-old mobile hairdresser is organising a full evening of auctions, raffles and entertainment in aid of the Martin House Hospice which cares for children and young people.
It is being held at The Forge pub at Aislaby on Thursday night from 8.30pm onwards.
Prizes for auction include festival, theme park and zoo tickets and a VIP afternoon at the races plus a tour of an Ascot winning race yard.
There are also vouchers for Harry’s Bar, Radfords Butchers at Sleights, Jacksons at Ruswarp, A & M Hair Design, Bev Waring Beauty, Riverside Gardens and Curly Tops with Kerry Waring which will be raffled off.
Frankie of Seacliffe Hotel said: “I only found out on last Sunday I had got through so have not had much time to get everything sorted.
“We have got to raise money for Martin House. I have never done anything like it before and it is quite stressful but I thought I might as well go all out.”
Tickets for the auction are available on the door at The Forge or from Frankie. Contact 603139 for more details.
