First time festival hits the right note with punters

It was a sell-out for the first Whitby Rising music festival which went down a storm with punters at the weekend.

Organised by Castleton born singer and songwriter Alistair Griffin there are already calls for an encore next year.

It was on Eskdale School fields with local bands and singers from reality TV shows too.
