Fifty people from Whitby and district who are up for a challenge will compete in a major triathalon tomorrow.
‘Team Whitby’ will be raising funds for Cure Rett, a charity co-founded by Kori Coates from Hawsker whose seven year old daughter Emlyn has the complex genetic condition Rett syndrome which affects one in 12,000 girls.
Already more than £15,000 has been raised for the charity in just several months across the Whitby area.
Amy Bletsoe is one of those taking part in the Virgin Active London Triathlon. She said: “We’ve been doing some serious training.” To sponsor Team Whitby visit www.justgiving.com/teams/Teamwhitby
